Data Deletion Request
MADEBYJJ, LLC(“MadeByJJ”) provides automated WhatsApp customer service and appointment booking for small businesses through the service at deskwiz.app.
This page explains how to request deletion of data associated with you or your business.
If you are a Client (business subscribed to the Service)
You can delete data in two ways:
Option 1: Self-service via dashboard
- Log in to your dashboard at app.deskwiz.app
- Go to Settings → Data Management
- Choose the data category to delete (conversation logs, Desk configuration, full account)
- Confirm
For full account deletion, your subscription will be cancelled and all your data will be deleted within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain (e.g., tax records).
Option 2: Email request
Email privacy@madebyjj.com from the email address registered with your account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
Include in the email:
- Your business name (as registered with us)
- Your account email
- What data you want deleted (everything? specific conversations? specific date range?)
We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
If you are an End-Customer
If you sent a WhatsApp message to one of our clients’ business numbers and want your data deleted:
Recommended: Contact the business directly
The business you messaged is the data controller for your conversation. They can delete your data through their dashboard. This is the fastest route.
Alternative: Email us
Email privacy@madebyjj.com with:
- Subject line: “End-Customer Data Deletion Request”
- The WhatsApp phone number you used (in international format, e.g., +1234567890)
- The business name you messaged (if known)
- Approximate date(s) of conversation
What we’ll do:
- Acknowledge receipt within 5 business days
- Locate any data associated with your phone number across our clients’ accounts
- Delete that data within 30 days
- Confirm completion via email
What we cannot delete:
- Messages already delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform — Meta retains its own copies under its policies; contact Meta separately for that
- Data we are legally required to retain (rare, mostly for fraud investigation or court orders)
Identity verification
To protect your data, we may ask for additional verification before processing your request. This protects against unauthorized deletion attempts.
For Clients: we may verify by responding from your registered email or via OAuth re-authentication.
For End-Customers: we may verify by sending a confirmation code to the WhatsApp number you provide.
Retention periods
For full details on how long different categories of data are kept before automatic deletion, see our Privacy Policy Section 8.
